Objective:Epilepsy is defined as a syndrome of chronic and repeated temporary brain function aberration that commonly occurs in children who and their parents have heavy burden of body, mind and economy because of repeated paroxysm and discrimination from society and side effect from taking western medicine for a long time. Therefore, it is a urgent for medical worker resolve this question that develop a cheap and efficient drug having no side effect. Chinese traditional medicine, which is dominant to resolve this world difficult problem, is developing continuously. Through standardization of randomized controlled trials, the observation of epileptic seizures in rats pill on neurotransmitter glutamate (Glu) y-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and hippocampus c-fos expression, evaluation of epilepsy in rats given Pill Treatment The efficacy and advantages, and given Pill applied to provide experimental basis for the treatment of epilepsy.Methods:8-week-old healthy SD rats (200±50g) 50 pieces 3 days feeding adaptation,10 rats were taken as normal control group, than those with pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) induced epileptic by intraperitoneal injection, day 1 intraperitoneal injection of pentylenetetrazol (32mg/kg), for 28 days,1 week after withdrawal with the same dose of PTZ test, following the classification methods such as Ono J, who showed more than 5 consecutive two seizures in rats to achieve lighting standards, selected experiments. Dingxian Pill on pentylenetetrazole kindled seizures in rats significantly antagonistic, the mechanism may be kindled by pentylenetetrazol decreased Glu content in rat hippocampus, c-fos expression, increased GABA levels to achieve. 2 results for the clinical application be epilepsy pill treatment of epilepsy provides a basis for scientific experiments.
