Objective To investigate the influence of Xingnao Pill on Glutamic Acid and Lactic Acid content of cerebral tissue in vascular dementia mice.Methods Sity mice were divided into 6 groups randomly:blank group,model group,Naofu Kang group,low-dose Xingnao pill group,medium-dose Xingnao pill group,high-dose Xingnao pill group;The models of vascular dementia mice were duplicated with the operation of ligating bilateral carotids;At the thirty-fifth day after operation,each mouse of model groups was irrigated the stomach once a day for fourteen days;At the last day of irrigating the stomach after behavioural experiment,the glutamic acid and lactic acid content of cerebral tissue in mice were determined.Results First,compared with blank group,results showed that the learning and Memorizing performance record of model groups decreased (P<0.01) obviously.But compared with the model groups,the learning and memorizing performance record of medical groups were improved(P<0.05orP<0.01). Second,glutamic acid and lactic acid content in cerebral tissue of mice in model groups were higher than that in the blank group(P<0.01),and that in each medical group was lower than that in model group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion Xingnao Pill could treat vascular dementia by reducing Glutamic Acid and Lactic Acid content in cerebral tissue.
