Expression And Significance Of MMP-7 And Survivin In Gastric Cancer

Objective:To investigate the expression of MMP-7 and Survivin and analyze the relationship between Survivin and MMP-7 in gastric carcinoma. Meanwhile study its clinical-pathological implication and its clinical significance of Survivin and MMP-7 in the development of stomach carcinoma.Methods:Immunohistochemical was used to detect the expressions of MMP-7 and Survivin in 61 gastric carcinoma specimens and 30 gastric mucosa membrane. Then analyze the relationship between Survivin and MMP-7 expression in gastric cancerous tissue and the clinicopathologic parameters of gastric carcinoma. Statistical Product and Services Solutions(SPSS) statistical soft ware(version 13.00)was applied for data analysis.χ2tes,Speraman bank relation analysis were used. The P<0.05 was considered as having significant difference.Results:MMP-7 was observed in the cytoplasmic and Survivin was observed in the cytoplasmic.The positive rate of Survivin and MMP-7 was 75.4% and 68.8% respectively. The Survivin positive tumor cell had brown particle in the endochylema,and the MMP-7 positive cell had brown particle in the endochylema.The statistic analysis shows that the expression of Survivin and MMP-7 in tumor lymphatic metastasis cases were significantly higher than the nonmetastasis cases(P<0.05).The expression of Survivin and MMP-7 in the undifferentiated and low differentiated cases were significantly higher than the moderately differentiated and high differentiated cases(P<0.05).The expression of Survivin and MMP-7 in clinic stage III-IV were more than those in clinic stage I-II,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).In those cases,which survival time was lower than five years, the positive expression of Survivin and MMP-7 were significantly higher than those survival time was higher than five years (P<0.05).The expression of Survivin and MMP-7 was not positively correlated with age grading,sex,tumor sizes,position (P>0.05).In gastric cancer tissues, the expression of Survivin and MMP-7 had the positive correlation through spearman bank relation analysis (r=0.602,P<0.01).Conclusions:The expression of Survivin and MMP-7 were connected with all the differentiation degree,lymph node diversion,clinical stage and five years survival time of gastric carcinoma(P<0.05).The expression of Survivin and MMP-7 were not positively correlated with age grading,sex,tumor sizes,position (P>0.05).In gastric cancer tissues, the expression of Survivin protein was positive correlated with that of MMP-7.Cases with positive expression of Survivin and MMP-7 have poor prognosis, so it may be valuable to evaluate the prognosis of gastric carcinoma patients.
