Objective:To explore that community-based tertiary rehabilitation service model is an economic and effective new model.Methods:94 patients with stroke were divided into rehabilitation groupand control group.Patients from rehab group received routine medical treatment and normative community rehabilitation treatment while control group only received routine medical treatment. WHOQOL-BREF, Modified Barthel Index, Neurologic Impairment Measuring Scale(NIM) and expenses were collected at enrollment, 2month and 5month.Fingdings:â‘ Standardized tertiary community-based rehabilitation services siginificantly improved the QOL,ADL abilities and neural function for stroke patients(P<0.01).â‘¡The main factors related to QOL were sleep quality, high cholesterol, modified Barthel index,NIM,labor intensity and position of stroke.â‘¢Mean cost per patient was 2.5 to 3 times of that in the control group than in the rehabilitation group.Conclusion:The community-based tertiary rehabilitation service model is an economic and effective new model.
