Objective To investigate various ultrasonic features of dysplasia fetal urinary system and the diagnostic value. Methods A total of 8468 fetus were performed systemic antenatal ultrasound from March 2004 to February 2010.Of all,the clinical profiles of 385 fetuses with congenital urinary system dysplasia(108 subjects were urinary system anomaly) were collected and the antenatal ultrasound diagnoses and results were evaluated. Ultrasonic characteristics of dysplasia urinary system in 385 fetal cases were reviewed and confirmed by anatomy pathology and the follow—up of newborns. Results The incidence rate of the congenital renal tract anomalies was 4.55%(385/8468). fetal urinary system anomaly are accounted for 28.05%(108/385) of fetal urinary system dysplasia.31 subjects were oligohydramnios and all subjects were fatal renal malformations. There were 74 subjects (74/385,19.22%) with congenital urinary system dysplasia accompanied by defects of other systems. Among these 385 cases of urinary system dysplasia,252 cases were simple hydronephrosis accounting for 65.45%; 30 cases were hydronephrosis complicated by hydroureterosis accounting for 7.80%; 26 cases were renal dysplasia accounting for 6.76%; 21 cases were agenesis of kidney accounting for 5.45%; 32 cases were polycystic kidney accounting for 8.31%; 8 cases were kidney sing cyst accounting for 2.08%; 7 cases were ectopic kidney accounting for 1.82%; 5 cases were duplex kidney accounting for 1.30%; 4 cases were hydronephrosis complicated by hydroureterosis and megacystis accounting for 1.04%; 1 cases were horseshoe kidney accounting for 0.26%.Conclusion Ultrasonography plays an important role in the prenatal diagnosis of dysplasia fetal urinary system and prognosis assessment. Oligohydramnios is firstly recognized and the most important clue for the diagnosis of lethal renal tract anomalies. midrange hydronephrosis complicated by hydroureterosis should be highly doubt urinary system anomaly.
