Part 1 Clinical Observation of IOL Master in Biometry and Intraocular Lens Power Calculation of Normal CataractObjectives:To investigate the accuracy of intraocular lens power calculation of normal cataract by measurement of intraocular lens power calculation with IOL Master and A ultrasonic biometry combined with OrbscanⅡ.Methods:The axial length,keratometric power, the degrees of artificial lens and mean absolute refractive error,which were acquired by IOL Master and the ultrasonic biometry combined with OrbscanⅡ(routine examination method) in 66 patients suffered with normal cataract, were analyzed statistically.Results:1 There was significant difference in detectablerate between IOL Master with 66.67% and routine examination method with 93.33% (P<0.05).2 There was no significant difference in axial length between A ultrasound with 24.29±0.29mm,and IOL Master with 24.34±0.31mm, (P>0.05). But there was significant difference in keratometric power between OrbscanⅡwith 45.23±1.97D and IOL Master group with 44.25±1.67D,(P<0.05).3 There was significant difference in intraocular lens power calculation between IOL Master with 17.12±0.78D and the routine examination method with 16.42±0.76D, (P<0.05).4 There was significant difference in mean absolute refractive error(MAFE) between IOL Master group (0.04±1.18D) and the routine examination method group(0.29±0.76D), (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in comparison of MAFE among groups of cataracts with various sclerotic nuclei(p>0.05), and there was significant difference in comparison of MAFE in either group of cataracts with different axial length (p<0.05) and comparison among groups (p<0.05)Conclusions:1 Both IOL Master and the routine examination method are suitable for most patients with normal cataract,but the later had larger using scale.2 It is accurate in biometry and intraocular lens power calculation of IOL Master and the routine examination method, but it is stable in power calculation of IOL Master.3 There was no relation between accuracy of IOL Master in power calculation and turbid level of lens and the ocular refraction of patients. Part 2 Clinical Observation of IOL Master in Intraocular Lens Power Calculation of peculiar cataractObjectives:To investigate the accuracy of IOL-Master in intraocular lens power calculation for silicone-filled eyes with cataract, and accuracy of IOL-Master in power calculation for postoperative refraction with cataract by measurement of intraocular lens power calculation with IOL Master and A ultrasonic biometry combined with OrbscanⅡ.Methods:1 Axial lengths, the degrees of artificial lens and MAFE, which were acquired by IOL-Master after Vitrectomy combined with silicone oil tamponade of 12 patients and by the routine examination method preoperativly, were analyzed statistically.2 Axial lengths, the degrees of artificial lens and MAFE of 1 patient, which were acquired by IOL-Master and the routine examination method, were analyzed.Results:1 There was no significant difference between AL, intraocular lens power and MAFE acquired by IOL-Master after Vitrectomy combined with silicone oil tamponade, and the ones acquired by the routine examination method preoperativly.2 Power calculation of IOL-Master in postoperative refraction with cataract is more accucate than A ultrasound biometry.Conclusions:1 It is convenient and accurate in lens power calculation of IOL Master for silicone-filled eye with complicated cataract.2 It is accurate in intraocular lens power calculation of IOL Master for cataract with postoperative refraction presumably.
