Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) rehabilitation brace is the apparatus used to treat the disorder and to prevent the disability. It should be made according to the pathological condition and different individuals. Currently, there are a lot of problems in the clinical application because of the slow development of technology for the design of the static hand brace, the unbalanced manufacture level, and the incapability of adjustment according to the progression of the disease. In order to solve the above problems, the thesis tries to design hand braces for the patients in the rehabilitation, to make the individualized hand braces used in different phrases during the rehabilitation, and to make a solid foundation for patients'rehabilitation as well.Firstly the relatively functionalized palm camber model is designed in the thesis according to the progress of disease in different phrases of rehabilitation based on the patient's hand scanning data. The consistence of the model's size and the data about the patient's hand guarantees the individualization of the brace. The characteristics of the appropriate position of the limbs assure the functionalization of the brace. Then the individualized brace model is designed on the basis of the palm model. The main aim of the thesis is to set parameters for different appropriate limb position of hands according to the observation of the CVD rehabilitation, to discuss the technology of palm model making based on the original palm point clouds, and to study the camber design of the individualized brace as well. Consequently, the problem- solving details in the whole process from the scanning point clouds of the patient to the individualized brace camber design are explored.
