The Research Of How To Construct Knowledge Management System Of Clinical Decision Making

ObjectiveAs the key point of hospital, clinical decision making is very important. At present, majority of hospitals in China have not yet established an effective knowledge management platform. Therefore, it is necessary to explore Knowledge Management System of clinical decision making which has comprehensive content and perfect function, and then construct a sort of mechanism in hospital, in other words, a platform where Subjective medical knowledge can be converted into Objective medical knowledge, and vice versa. Only in this way, clinical knowledge flows can become so ordered that they can be shared, exchanged, innovated and accumulated endlessly. It is significant to improve doctor's knowledge level and enhance hospital's core competency. On basis of the defined knowledge management content of clinical decision making, we have constructed a Knowledge Management System of clinical decision making. It will provide reference for the implementation of Knowledge Management system of clinical decision making in our country.Methods⑴Literature research: Using some full-text databases such as Chinese Journal Full-text Database (CJFD), VIP database, OVID and several search engines like Google, Baidu to search reference materials systematically at home and aboard including Knowledge Management of clinical decision making and Knowledge Management System of clinical decision making, combined with the present demand for clinician, we defined the content of Knowledge Management of clinical decision making.⑵Questionnaire investigation: Selecting doctors in Tongji hospital of Wuhan as the typical object of investigation. Laying down Questionnaire according to the content of knowledge Management of clinical decision making and using the enumeration law to process data, we researched relative knowledge in clinical decision making to find out the types of knowledge required in clinical decision-making. After this, we supplemented the content of knowledge management of clinical decision making. 100 questionnaires were distributed, and 90 questionnaires were valid. Rate of Recovery is 90%.⑶Software engineering method: Using Methodology of Software Engineering, combined with the content of knowledge management of clinical decision making, we designed Software and hardware platform structure and system functions of knowledge management system of clinical decision making.Results⑴The content of knowledge management of clinical decision making include three parts: the management of Patient's data, Academic knowledge and Practical experience. Patient's data management involves patient's clinical data management and humanities background management. Academic knowledge management refers to constructing medical knowledge base, pharmacy knowledge base, assistant subject knowledge base, Evidence-Based Medicine knowledge base, and so on. Practical experience management include opening expert discussion system, establishing technical expertise catalog, constructing medical case database, making up diagnosis and treat rules and regulations knowledge base, and so on.⑵Using Methodology of Software Engineering, we planed and designed the Software and hardware platform structure and system functions of knowledge management system of clinical decision making. Meanwhile, constructed knowledge management system of clinical decision making which has four-tier structure: platform support system, knowledge base, business data exchange platform and presentation. The system is possessed of four functional modules, they are: knowledge base, knowledge map, knowledge community and system management. Conclusion⑴The content of knowledge management of clinical decision making defined, according to the real demand of doctors, refers to not only traditional medical knowledge management, such as managing medical knowledge base managing pharmacy knowledge base and assistant subject knowledge base but also Evidence-Based Medicine knowledge management and sanitary Legal software knowledge management. The content of knowledge management of clinical decision making is comprehensive and practical.⑵In terms of the content of knowledge management of clinical decision making, we constructed a knowledge management system of clinical decision making which can realize such simple and practical functions as knowledge query, knowledge accumulation, knowledge distribution and information exchange which can effectively improve the level of hospital's knowledge sharing, exchange and utilization.
