| ã€Background】In forensic practice, disabilited persons are assessed by rating the extent of language dysfunction. The existing tools used to assess the extent of the disability lack reliability when used in victims of traumatic brain injury. Exploring the injured area can reflect the objective and quantitative aspect of language impairment after injury.. Research have shown that event-related potentials (event related potentials, ERP) of some of the ingredients and processing capacity, such as the N400, P600, are closely related to languages. The focus of this study was to investigate the mechanism of language processing related to how to use ERP technology objectively and quantitatively to assess language processing capacity after injury and the value of this method in forensic science practiceã€Objective】Prepare the naming of audio-visual pictures in a cross-sensory model of ERP paradigm to study patients with traumatic brain injury; to test healthy volunteers and patients with traumatic brain injury; study the effect of cross-channel speech processing sensory ERP waveform characteristics and WAIS-RC correlation damage with language function in order to provide objective forensic indicators for electrophysiological testing.ã€Methods】Using Neuroscan ERP instrument designed picture - sound name matching ERP testing sequence, subjects were first presented with a real picture, then a right or wrong, acting as sound stimulation naming was given from the headset . The results according to pre-stimulus procedures appropriate changes in 40 normal volunteers (26 males, 14 females) and 15 patients with severe traumatic brain injury (male 11, female 4) respectively ERP detection and WAIS-RC test to compare the two groups of subjects and differences characteristic components of ERP, analysis and WAIS-RC correlation. Finally, patients were given the aphasia test, to determine the reliability of the model experiments.ã€Results】(1) through the picture to sound name matching ERP stimulus , normal volunteers can lead to N1, P2, N2, P3, N3, P4 and other ERP components not only in matched picture-sound stimulation but also in dismatched picture-sound stimulation , which in the 290ms to 360ms between the "N300 wave "and 450ms a" class of N400 effect. " Picture to sound stimulus mismatch extension of P2 latency and amplitude increased (P <0.01); N300 wave amplitude showed a negative change, 450ms a "class of N400 effect" is positive, significantly less than the paired stimulus amplitude. (2) traumatic brain injury involving in matching and dismatching picture - sound stimulus of ERP can also lead to a similar wave, compared with the normal group, paired stimulation of N2, P3, N3 extended incubation period, about 30ms, amplitude of N2, P3 of the negative change (P <0.01); mismatching stimulations appeared to stimulate the latency of P2, N2, P3 were statistical significant difference (P <0.01), amplitude of P3 was statistical significant difference (P <0.01). (3) Cross-modal ERP waveform of each component in the CZ, FT7, FP2, FZ, F4, F7, F3, T3, C4 all have obvious points on the waveform, in which CZ, C4 have best point waveform differentiation, indicating double frontal and left temporal lobe function in the language plays an important role. (4) N2, N3 latency and verbal IQ, and total IQ was low to moderate negative correlation (r =- 0.36 +0.35). (5) aphasia patient showed paired stimulus waveform peaks of 290ms-550ms, N300 wave, and "N400 effect" negative variation amplitude of obvious abnormalities (trauma group 2 times) in the picture - sound stimulation;N300 wave latency was delayed. Mismatching picture - sound stimulus occured only a single peak waveform.ã€Conclusion】In picture - sound cross-model ERP detection paradigm in dual frontal and left temporal region, "N300 wave" effect , like-N400 effect can occur. "N300 wave in traumatic brain injury delayed about 30ms of latency; latency of "like- N400 effect" prolonged and the amplitude was more negative, but no significant difference in the peak from the peaks become a single peak of the phenomenon of language processing capacity is impaired with prompt effect. Latencies of N2, N3 and total IQ and verbal IQ was moderate negatively correlated, suggesting the specificity of cross-model ERP components and language processing capacity of a certain correlation can be used as forensic testing when refering to the objective is impaired language processing capacity... |
