Research On The Advance Of The Equalization Of Basic Medical And Health Services

The equalization of basic medical and health services refers to that all members of societyregardless of their social status or income levels, can be able to get basic medical and healthservices according to their demands. It's not only an important part of the equalization ofbasic public services but also the main goal of our medical and health reform. Theequalization of basic medical and health services is a public institution based on the principleof fairness and justice. Its implementation is the internal demand of "people-oriented", and it'salso the inevitable choice of harmonious society. Therefore, China has actively carried outvarious measures to promote the process of medical and health services equalization.However, there are many problems on government input, health systems and residents'income etc., cause the process still faces problems such as resource not configured field,medical and health services utilization not equal, finance not equal, overall security levellower and so on.Firstly, this article analysis the concepts relate equalization of basic medical and healthservices, clear the significance of it; secondly, divided three stages summarizes the historicalprocess of the equalization of basic medical and health services; thirdly, discuss the currentproblems about it, and research into the reasons; then study the gains and losing of the UnitedKingdom, Germany and America; at last, based on the analysis of domestic issues and theabroad experience, put forward several practical proposals .
