【Objective】The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament with Rigidfix system and crushing screw fixation and the conparation between allogeneic and autogeneic tendon grafts.【Methods】From May 2004 to June 2007,42 knees with ACL rupture which were diagnosed by arthroscopy had been reconstructed with allogeneic or autogeneic tendon. All the tendon was fixed by Rigidfix system and crushing screw. Rehabilitation exercise was taken after the operations. The patients were followed up for motions , objective sign and MRI images. Lysholm scoring system was used to evaluate functions of the knees.【Results】The follow-up averaged 2.8(1.5-4)years. Except one case with infection and flexion limitation, all the patients had no severe complications such as infection, immunological rejection and so on. At the final follow-up,the motion of the treated knees ranged from -3°to 0°in extension and from 115°to 130°in flexion. the anterior drawer, lachman and pivot shift tests were negative. The Lysholm score changed from34.6(±4.36) in preopteration to 89.4(±5.42) in postopteration.【Conclusion】Reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament with Rigidfix system and crushing screw by using allogeneic and autogeneic tendon grafts has an satisfactory clinical therapeutic effect. The comparation between allogeneic and autogeneic tendon grafts showed no statistical contrast.
