Purpose: Observe the clinical effect of the traditional Chinese medicine"zhihuang tang"to the diabetes mellitus patients who have the symptom of"yin xu re sheng", the results of decreasing the blood sugar,modifying grease disorder, and evaluate the validity and security.Method: These cases come from the Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital. The study adopts to the method of random comparison :the curing group taking zhihuang tang , while the contrast group taking the Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets ,Every period of treatment is four weeks ,observing 2 periods.Result: zhihuang tang cures the diabetes mellitus for 30 cases. The total efficient rate is 86.67%.The clinical symptom and the related laboratory examination is better than the contrast.Conclusion: zhihuang tang can obviously relieve the clinical symptom, decrease the blood sugar,modify grease disorder, and have no side effect. It should be paid more attention to the traditional Chinese medicine and more deeply study.
