Objective: The objective of this research is to compare four internal fixation methods for treating the distal humeral fractures .Methods:We had collected 36 patients who suffered distal humeral fractures from June 2009 to December 2010. Among these patients, these were 23 males and 13 females. The average age was 36. According to AO/ASIF standard, these patients could be divided into three groups: A, B and C. The number of group A was 6, group B was12 and there were 18 patients in group C. Of all these patients, 3 were treated by K-wire, 13 were by single-plate, 10 were by double-plate and 10 were by Y plate. Then analysis different results by curative effect. Results:Each patient deserved 9 months FL.up in average. The fracture usually could be cured from 10 to 16 months. According to Cassebaum standard, the condition of Fracture concrescence among these patients could be divided into four degree. 17 of all these patients were well, 10 were good, 6 were ecumenic, and 3 were negative. The percent of well and good was 75.0%Conclusion: The effect of treatment to distal humeral fractures can be improved by choosing the right surgical types and internal fixations. Besides, the earlier patients exercising their elbow joint, the better the effects were.By analysised the surgical results, we found that Double-plate is the best way to cure distal humeral fractures among these four treating manners.
