| Objective Taking the two counties for objects sampling crowd, analyze the characteristics of decision factors of its social, economic and living habits. Under the three different iodine concentration standards (15 + 5mg/kg, 25 + 5mg/kg, 35 + 15mg/kg), explain the major factors of influence of the crowd iodine nutritional status, put forward some suggestions for prevention and treatment of IDD.Method According to the result of iodine deficiency disorders surveillance system over the years in Chongqing, we selected Bishan County and Yunyang County as our study site, Conducted epidemiological survey on six towns in the two county by using the quantitative and qualitative research method, collected the water iodine, soil iodine, dietary investigation, relevant knowledge of IDD, salt iodine, children's urine iodine and strumous rate before intervention, collected children urine iodine and salt iodine after intervention of 6,10,18,24 months respectively, and thyroid material after intervention of 10,24 months.Result Environmental lack iodine is an important external factor of IDD. At the scene of the intervention process, the crowd iodine nutritional status was influenced by implementation of intervention measures and market openness; meanwhile economic levels and prandial habits etc, also influenced the crowd urine iodine level in the sampling region.Conclusion Insist on the Universal salt iodization; moderate reducing iodine concentration in salt, adjust measures to local conditions; to speed up improvement of the relevant legal system and protect the purity of salt market; strengthening the construction of the professional team and propaganda of health education. These provides a strong protection for the early eliminating IDD.
