Xue Zhi Kang Capsule For The Treatment Of Hyperlipidemia (Tan Zhuo Zu Zhi) Randomized, Double-blind Controlled Clinical Research

Objection:To investigate the clinical effect, security of Xue Zhi Kang capsule in treating hyperlipidemia.Method:60 cases of patients with essential hyperlipidemia were enrolled from the clinic and inpatient department of heart Medical Department of ChengDu university of TCM. According to randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled design principle,60 cases were divided into 30 cases of the treatment group and control group of 30 cases. Treatment group were treated with Xue Zhi Kang capsule, meanwhile, the patients of control group toke orally placebo. The period of treatment was 8 weeks. The changes of Total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) and the symptoms points were recorded and observed.Result:Xue Zhi Kang capsule can significantly lessen TC,TG,LDL-C, and elevate HDL-C. Xue Zhi Kang capsule can improve symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine, which therapeutic effect is obviously superior to control group. Before and after the treatment compared between the two groups, adverse reactions such as liver functions,renal functions,creatine kinase indexes were not found to change.Conclusion:Xue Zhi Kang capsule can efficiently treat hyperlipidemia, and ameliorate symptoms of Chinese medicine significantly. It is a kind of safe and effective cholesterol-lowering drug.
