The Clinical Study On Efficacy Of Electro-acupunction With Back Scrapping For Functional Constipation

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and security of electro-acupunction with back scrapping to treat with functional constipation.Methods:With the random, contrast and single-blind research method, 64patients were randomly divided into two groups:Control group (treated with Macrogol 4000 powder for oral solution) and treatment group (treat with electro-acupunction with back scrapping). In the Control group, patients are treated with Macrogol 4000 powder for oral solution lOg every time,2 times per day, which lasted for 4 weeks. Besides in the treatment group, patients are treated with three needle points of intestine charnels:ST25, RN4, ST37.3Hz frequency of electro-acupuncture, and dilatational wave maintains 30min every time, five times for the first week and three days for the remaining three weeks. After the needle therapy, scarp the patient's neck along with the 7 vertical lines from DU14 to DU1 points, which at the spine and besides the spine of 0.5inch,1.5inch,3inch,until the scarped skin red and congestion on alternate days. The total period of treatment is lasted for 4 weeks. After treatments,the change of the clinical efficacy, the efficacy of the TCM symptoms, quality of life between the two groups were evaluated by means of the assessment.Results:Among 64 cases,61 cases finished the study while 3 lost cases. There was no statistical difference of baseline data between two groups(P >0.05). With the 31 cases in the treatment group,8 cases were clinical cure.The cure rate is 25.81%,16 cases were markedly better.Which is 51.61%.5 cases were effective. The effective rate is 16.13%; 2 cases were invalid and accounting for 8.45%. The markedly effective rate is 77.42%. The total effective rate is 93.55%. In the contrast group,4 cases were clinical cure. The cure rate is 13.33%,10 cases were markedly better. Which is 33.34%.13 cases were effective. The effective rate is43.33%; 3 cases were invalid and accounting for 10.00%. The markedly effective rate is 46.67%. The total effective rate is 90.00%. Comparing the two groups, the total effective rates have similar result, but there are more significant differences between the markedly effective rate and the effective constitute (P<0.05), which shows that the treatment group is more effective than the contrast group (P<0.05). In the same time, there was a statiscally significant difference between the TCM syptoms markedly effective rate of the two groups(P<0.05). The exponent of the clinical symptom-sign, the quality of life all improved more than those of them before the treatment in both groups(P<0.05). All the indexes in treatment group showed that more effective than that of the contrast group(P<0.05). Both groups were showed no obvious adverse reactions, security is good.Conclusion:Electro-acupunction with back scrapping to treat with functional constipation is predominance and safe.
