[objective]:This topic to the patients of knee osteoarthritisas as the research object, these patients were treated by electroacupuncture and moxa needl therapy, and then reviewed respectively before and after treatment, they were observed in pain, joint mobility, function and myodynamia, and we decide its curative effect, in order to provide a safe and effective method for the treatment of knee osteoarthritisas.[methods]:A total of 80cases of the knee osteoarthritisas were studied. The major acupoints punctured were:a sea of blood, xiliao (an inch under LiangQiu), inside and outside knee eyes, Yinlingquan, zusanli. For the patients of treatment group, acuesthesia after needle retention, pick electroacupunctured treatment device, using dilatational wave, the intensity of patients could tolerate, in addition, make sure a litten moxa cone of 2cm puted into the top of the needle handle every other day, treatment time 20 minutes, meanwhile, accompanied TDP once a day,7 days for a period of treatment and for a maximum of 3 weeks. The control group were only be treated by electroacupuncture, all the others were the same. Clinical status was evaluated using Western Ontario macmaster university of osteoarthritis index visual scale(WOMAC), pain visual analogue scale (VAS), articulatio sign mask and psychological and social adaptation mask.[The results]:The treatment group has a significant efficiency of 47.37%, and a effectiveness of 86.84%, relatively, the control group has a significant efficiency of 25.00% and 77.50% with efficiency. With the Mann-Whitney U inspection, P< 0.05, which imply that the contrast between the two groups have obvious difference, that is, electroacupuncture and moxa needl therapy has a better clinical efficiency than simplex electroacupuncture has.[conclusion]:The treatment of degenerative knee arthritis by electroacupuncture and moxa needl therapy has a significant effect on improveing the stiff joints and its instability condition, as well as the range of motion and its walking ability. For the patients of knee osteoarthritisas, it is obviously proved that combination therapy of electroacupuncture and needle warming moxibustion has better clinical effect compared to the simplex electroacupuncture treatment.
