Objective: To discuss the prognosis factor, estimating tile time of the patients with spinal column metastases for formulate or selecting proper treatment method. Methods:From January 2007 to August 2010 admitted to our hospital and made follow-up visit material 119 cases of different malignant tumor to have case of illness which the spinal column metastatic.Tomita grading were carried on each patient, and the sex,the age,the primary tumor nature, the internal organs shift situation, the bone shift situation ,treatment and so on clinical takes the prognosis factor, carries on the single factor and the multi-factor Cox regression analysis, the screening prognosis factor. Results:In 87 cases, the primary site was found, while it was not found in the other 32 cases.16 patients are still alive, the mean survival time was 11.09 months. The single factor analysis result showed Tomita grades(P=0.003),primary tumor nature(P=0.001), as well as involving the vertebral number(P=0.047) influence lifetime. lifetime. After the multi-factors Cox regression analysis result indicated that primary tumor nature(P=0.000) and involving the vertebral number(P=0.023) affects the patient prognosis. The prognosis index (PI) base on Cox proportion hazard regression model showed Surial statistical significance(P=0.001).Conclusion: Primary tumor nature , involving the vertebral number is the independent factors affect outcomes in patients with spinal metastases, may the metastatic spinal tumors patients prognosis factor, after and The prognosis index (PI) had appraised prognosis, finally instructs the clinical treatment. According to the patient's prognosis decides the specific treatment way, thus reduce the economic burden of patients, prolonging the survival period and improve the life quality of patients.
