Vaccinium uliginosum L.as Ericaceae genus Vaccinium uliginosum L,is a resource for blueberry varieties.Vaccinium fruit dark blue,rich in anthocyanins,with the promotion,as the re-synthesis of red pigment,anti-inflammatory brain aging,improve immunity,enhance heart function,and anticancer activity of a variety of physiological functionsWistar rats were fed basic feed (basic group) and high fat feed separately. After 3 weeks, high fat feed group were randomized into 4 groups according to serum total cholesterol. High fat group were fed high fat feed continuely, Vaccinium uliginosum L. anthocyanin high dose group,middle dose group and low dose group were fed anthocyanins that added into high fat feed 16.7mg/kg,8.35mg/kg,1.67mg/kg separately each day according to the rats's body weight. After 10 weeks, the serum total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and hepatic lipase(HL) were detected by reagent box. The fat pillow around spermayy and kidney of rats were weighted and recorded. After 10 weeks, the fat around spermayy and kidney of rats were weighted and recorded,RT-PCR determination of the following gene expression:Liver:LDL-R,HMGCR,PPARa.Fat:PPARγ.The main results are as follows:1. Vaccinium uliginosum L. anthocyanin high dose,middle dose can decrease the weight and the availability of feed of the rats(p<0.05) and increase the contents of fat in dejecta(p<0.05) and decrease the body fat contents(P<0.05) obviously.2. Vaccinium uliginosum L. anthocyanin high dose,middle dose and low dose all can decrease the leves of TC,TG,LDL-C(P<0.05, P<0.01) and the value of LDL-C/HDL-C,TG/HDL-C,AI(P<0.05, P<0.01) in hyperlipidemia rats obviously, and increase the action of LPL and HL(P<0.05), and decrease the body fat contents(P<0.05) obviously.3. The anthocyanin from Vaccinium uliginosum L. could enhance the expression of LDL-R in the liver of rats and promote the cholesterol metabolism.4. The anthocyanin from Vaccinium uliginosum L. could enhance the expression of CYP7A1,PPAR a (P<0.05),increased the activity Inhibitory the activity of PPARy(P<0.05),promote the cholesterol metabolism in the liver and reduce fat storage.
