ObjectivesThrough the epidemiological investigation, for measuring the distance about atlanto-occipital and atlantoaxial joint on cervical spine lateral radiographs, to discuss the the relevance of the location of occipitoalantoax--ial and cervical vertigo.MethodsRandom selection the Spine PALAT of the cervical vertigo patients from the department and hospitalized (refer to the standard by《Chiropratic of Chinese》) and the normal people, for measuring the distance about atlanto-occipital and atlantoaxial joint on the Spine PALAT by Ratio method.ResultThis research has 113 cases, Cervical vertigo group of 63 cases, there are 59 cases'distance about atlanto-occipital and atlantoaxial joint on the Spine PALAT by Ratio method are abnormal, and four people are normal, Rate as high as 93.65%. The normal group have 50 cases, in this group,11 people are abnormal, and the other 39 ones are normal, Rate as high as 22%;in thisresearch, the whole rate as high as 61.95%. The the relevance of the location of occipitoalantoaxial and cervical vertigo, Spearman correlation coefficient (bilateral)=-0.733, by chi-square, P<0.01, it is a significant negative correlation, both relation has obvious statistical significance. While, the level of the occipitocercal joint malposition and the Clinical symptoms of Cervical vertigo people, Spearman correlation coefficient by T test testify P>0.05, Statistical no difference, there is no statistically significant. ConclusionThe occipitocercal joint malposition is an epidemic factor in cervical vertigo, The the relevance of the location of occipitoalantoaxial and cervical vertigo are obvious, The pathological changes of cervical vertigo mainly in the occipitocercal joint. The level of the occipitocercal joint malposition between the clinical symptoms have no proportionality relationship.
