| Objective:Recent years, with the continuous improvement of living standards and lifestyle changes, the incidence of rectal cancer is getting higher, and the rectal cancer surgery patients are more and more. Many patients have chronic diarrhea after the rectal cancer surgery, and their lives have seriously disturbed. By the treatment of chronic diarrhea after rectal cancer between wenshen jianpi yiqi Chinese medicine and smecta, discuss the effect of wenshen jianpi yiqi Chinese medicine for chronic diarrhea after rectal cancer.Methods:This article by the method of randomized controlled, collected and screened 40 patients who have chronic diarrhea after rectal cancer surgery treatment from June 2010 to April 2011 in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, First AffiliatedHospital inpatient or outpatient,randomly divided into traditional Chinese medicine group and smecta group, Chinese medicine group were treated with wenshen jianpi yiqi Chinese medicine one agent a day, and even served a week; smecta group have one to three packs smecta a day, and served a week. Recording the stool frequency and quality of the situation will before the medication and the first day, the three day, the seven day, the fourteen day, the twenty-first day after taking the medication, and detecting treatment CEA, blood analysis, liver function and renal function before the medication and after the medication, and evaluated after 3 weeks.Result:After the statistical analysis, wenshen jianpi yiqi Chinese medicine and smecta can relieve chronic diarrhea, smecta which recently antidiarrheal effect is better than wenshen jianpi yiqi Chinese medicine, but the role of long-term diarrhea is Chinese medicine better than smecta.After the statistical analysis, most of patients in smecta group can relieved the symptoms of diarrhea in one day, and their diarrhea significantly improved during medication. Most of patients in Chinese medicine group started to ease the diarrhea in two to three days after the medicine, and the number of diarrhea gradually reduced during medication.80% patients in smecta group recurrent diarrhea after withdrawal a week, but patients in Chinese medicine group recurrence of diarrhea are not obvious after withdrawal two weeks. The change of CEA, blood analysis, liver function and kidney function are no significant difference during the two groups.Conclusion:Wenshen jianpi yiqi Chinese medicine can ease the chronic diarrhea after the rectal cancer surgery, and the antidiarrheal effect is slow but persistent. The change of CEA, blood analysis, liver function and kidney function are no significant difference during Chinese medicine group and smecta group. In severe cases of chronic diarrhea after the rectal cancer surgery can be taking with the two drugs.
