| ObjectiveTo evalue the effect using three methods of treating diabetic gastroparesis, including electric acupuncture, western medicine and electric acupuncture combining with western medicine.Methods90 eligible patients with diabetic gastroparesis were divided into three groups according to medical order randomly:electric acupuncture group (Groupâ… ), western medicine group (Groupâ…¡) and electric acupuncture combining with western medicine group(Groupâ…¢), three groups in accepting conventional oral glucose-lowering drugs,at the same time, Groupâ… used points we chose were ST36(double), RN12, ST21(double), ST25(double), ST37(double). Groupâ…¡was treated with mosapride,5mg, tid. It was taken by oral about 15 or 30 minutes after meal, Groupâ…¢was combing with Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡.The electro acupuncture frequency was 2/100HZ and the intensity was the maximum of each patient's intolerance.Each treatment lasted for 20 minutes, once per day. Every five treatments make a course. Each course was followde by two days intervel. There are two courses all together. Before and after giving treatment, we separately evaluate the patients' condition by the counted residual little barium in stomach observed fromâ…©line and gastrointestinal symptoms, and by recording items including the quantity of residual barium, and fasting blood glucose and postprandial blood sugar after 2 hour meal level.All the data were collected in a database and were analyzed by SPSS18.0 software. Measured data before-and-after use paired t-test, Measured data among three groups use analysis of Variance(ANOVA), Measured data between three groups use Newman-Keuls, Counting material use X2test, Graded material use Kruskal-Wallis test.Then summarize and evaluate its cured effect.ResultsBefore treatment, there are no significant differences (P>0.05) in the quantity of residual barium in stomach observed fromâ…©-line, the grade of fullness and clinical symptoms including the degree and duration of gastric distention, stomachache, belching, disorder of diet and stools and fasting blood glucose and 2-hr plasma glucose.After treatment, compared of the quantity of residual barium in stomach observed from X-line:there was statistically significant difference in three groups(P<0.05), which implied all three groups can promote stomach evacuation, there were significant differences between Groupâ…¢, Groupâ… and Groupâ…¢, Group II(P<0.05). there was no significant difference between Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡(P>0.05).the analysis showd that Groupâ…¢was better than Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡, there wan no significant difference between Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡on promoting stomach evacuation.After treatment, compared of the grade of fullness:there was statistically significant difference in three groups(P<0.05), which implied all three groups can improve fullness, there were significant differences among Groupâ…¢, Groupâ… ; Groupâ…¢, Groupâ…¡and Groupâ…¡, Groupâ… (P<0.05), the analysis showd that Groupâ…¢was better than Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡, Groupâ…¡was better than Groupâ… on imroving fullness.There was significant difference between three groups in the clinical effect of fullness (P<0.05).Compared of efficient among three groups (P<0.05), it indicated there was significant difference between three groups;there was significant difference between Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡(P<0.05); there was no significant difference between Groupâ…¢and Groupâ… (P>0.05); there was significant difference between Groupâ…¢and Groupâ…¡(P<0.05). The analysis showd that there was no significant difference between Groupâ…¢and Groupâ… on promote clinical effect of fullness, all of them was better than Groupâ…¡.After treatment, compared of the clinical symptoms including the degree and duration of gastric distention, stomachache, belching, disorder of diet and stools:there was no significant difference in three groups(P<0.05), which implied all three groups can promote clinical symptoms, there were no significant difference between Groupâ…¢, Groupâ… (P<0.05). there was significant differences between Groupâ…¢, Groupâ…¡and Groupâ… , Groupâ…¡(P>0.05).the analysis showd that there was no significant difference between Groupâ…¢and Groupâ… on promote clinical symptoms, all of them was better than Groupâ…¡.Compared of the fasting blood glucose level after treatment: there was no significant difference in Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡(P>0.05), there was significant difference in Groupâ…¢(P<0.05), which implied only Groupâ…¢can control FBG, the analysis showd thatthere was no significant difference among three groups.After treatment, compared of 2-hr plasma glucose:there was significant difference in three groups(P<0.05),which implied all three groups can control 2-hr plasma glucose, there were no significant difference between three groups (P>0.05), the analysis showd that there was no significant difference between three groups.Conclusion1. all three groups can promote stomach evacuation, Groupâ…¢was better than Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡, there was no significant difference between Groupâ… and Groupâ…¡.2. all three groups can imrove fullness, Groupâ…¢was better than Groupâ… , Groupâ… was better than Groupâ…¡.3. all three groups can promote clinical symptoms including the degree and duration of gastric distention, stomachache, belching, disorder of diet and stools, Groupâ…¢and Groupâ… were better than Groupâ…¡.4. Groupâ…¢can control FBG, but there was no significant difference among three groups.5. all three groups can control 2-hr plasma glucose but there was no significant difference among the three groups.In conclusion,electric acupuncture combining with western medicine can promote stomach evacuation, imrove fullness, and promote clinical symptoms better. |
