Clinical Research Of "Bolus Of Six Drugs Including Rehmannia Capsule" With Postmenopausal Osteoporosis

Object iveTo approach the effective treatment mechanism of type-â… Posteoporosis(PMOP) according to chinese medical literature analysis and research on postmenopausal osteoporosis patients, to prove the rationality and feasibility of "Bolus of Six Drugs including Rehmannia Capsul"Methods100 patients with PMOP, whose ages were between 55 to 70yearsold and Menopause more than 5 years, were divided into two groups:1. Treatment group(70 cases), in which patients took "Bolus of Six Drugs including Rehmannia Capsul"; 2. Control group(30cases), in which patients took "Strong bone Capsule". Detemine the bone mineral density(BMD) of 2st to 4th lumbar vertebrae and collum femoriswere by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry measurement instrument, and compare the results of two groups.To measure the following indicates, and compare the differences between pretherapy and post-treatment(6-months):â‘ . reproductive-axis:E2,FSH,LH;â‘¡. bone-formation:ALP,BGP;â‘¢. bone-resorption:FTH,CT;â‘£.cytokines in bone metabolism:IL-6,TNF-a,IGF-IResultsThe excellence and total effective rate of treatment group are11.43% and 80.00%, which of control group are 13.33% and 76.67%. Two groups have similar clinical effects but the treatment group are better than the latter in relieving pain and increasing BMD. All the indicates except PTH of two groups were significant relieved after treatment. There were no significant difference between two groups on FSH,LH,ALP,FTH,CT,IL-6,TNF-a. There were significant difference between two groups on E2,BGP,IGF-I.All the results prove that "Bolus of Six Drugs including Rehmannia Capsul" and "Qianggu Capsul" have dual regulation of promoting bone-formation and reducing bone-resorption. The reason might be:compound recipe, more phytoestrogen, higher estrogenic activity.Conlusion"Bolus of Six Drugs including Rehmannia Capsul" and "Qianggu Capsul" can improve bone density and reduce pain because of PMOP, but "Bolus of Six Drugs including Rehmannia Capsul" emphasis on "promoting bone formation", which means "strengthening body resistance" in Chinese medicine theory;and "Qianggu Capsul" emphasis on "reducing bone reorption", which means " eliminating pathogens" in Chinese medicine theory. The " Bolus of Six Drugs including Rehmannia Capsul" is compound recipe, which has more power than "Qianggu Capsul".combined therapy with two drugs furnishes basis of modern research.
