Clinical Study Of Ziyang Guben Decoction In Eldly People With Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) With The Syndrome Of Heart And Kidney Yang Deficiencies

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of Ziyang Guben Decoction on heart and kidney Yang deficiencies in eldly people with Chronic Heart Failure(CHF).Methods:40 old patients with Chronic Heart Failure(CHF)with cardiac function of gradeâ…¡/â…¢(heart and kidney Yang deficiencies) from July 2010 to February 2011 were selected and randomly divided into two groups:the control group(20 cases), with conventional medicine treatment. The treating group(20 cases), Zi Yang Gu Ben Decoction apllied in addition to conventional treatment. After a treating course of two weeks, clinical therapeutic effect in CHF, heart function and TCM was evaluated and ejection fraction(LVEF), NT-proBNP was measured.Results:Compared between groups, the total clinical therapeutic effect in heart function of the treating group(85%)was highter than control group(75.0%, P<0.01); the total clinical therapeutic effect in TCM of the treating group(90.0%) was highter than control group(70%, P<0.01). the total clinical therapeutic effect in ECG of the treating group(80.0 %)was highter than control group(70%, P<0.05); After two weeks treatment, the EF of the two groups increased obviously(P<0.05), The NT-ProBNP of both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01), and it was more significantly in treating group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of Ziyang Guben Decoction combining with conventional therapy could not only improve the symptoms of TCM and cardiac function in CHF, but could increase EF, reduce NT-ProBNP levels, the experiment shows that Zi Yang Gu Ben Decoction is effective in old people with CHF caused by coronary heart desease (heart and kidney Yang deficiencies).
