Objective:By the extracted teeth in vitro study, to compare the sealing ability of Gatta-Flow using single cone technique with that of AHplus and Cortisomol sealer when used with laterally condensed gutta-percha obturation technique, and to provide the important theoretic and experimental basis for the choice of perfect root canal sealer in clinic.Materials and Methods:60 single rooted human anterior teeth were cleaned and shaped using hand use NiTi instruments with a crown-down technique, after this,all teeth randomly divided into three experimental groups(n=20). Group A was filled with lateral condensation gutta-percha+Cortisomol sealer. Group B was filled with lateral condensation gutta-percha+AHplus sealer. Group C was filled with Gutta-Flow+single cone technique. After all teeth were filled, they were put in 37℃oven. All teeth were immersed in India ink staining,then teeth were demineralized, dehydrated and cleared.Linear dye penetration was determined under stereomicroscope.Results:Statistical test was performed by Analysis of Varience and Student-Newman-Keuls test.(1)There was statistically significant difference between groups(P<0.05) for apical leakage, there was statistically significant difference between Cortisomol and AHpus sealer(P<0.05), Cortisomol and Gutta-Flow (P<0.01), there was no statistically significant difference between AHplus and Gutta-Flow(P>0.05).whereas the only Gutta-Flow reached the lowest apical leakage value. (2)For coronal leakage, there was statistically significant difference between groups (P<0.01), there was statistically significant difference between Cortisomol and AHplus,Gutta-Flow (P<0.01), there was no statistically significant difference between group Gutta-Flow and AHplus (P>0.05).Conclusion:we can conclude that Gatta-Flow using with single cone technique shows a greater apical and coronal sealing ability, its'working time shorter than two others, it can reduce the patient's suffering. So Gatta-Flow system can be applied in clinic.
