Objecive:To summarize all the renal biopsy cases in the past nine years in the first affiliated hospitals of Xinjiang medical university; analyze the pathological type distribution, and their relationship with clinical manifestations; evaluation renal biopsy safety; and to provide useful information for the diagnosis and therapy of these diseases. Methods:All the cases with renal biopsy with complete clinical data in this hospital during January 2002 and January 2011 were collected, totall 246cases. Pathology types as well as clinical and laboratory data were collected and analyzed. The qualitative data of clinical and laboratory examination were presented as the number of case (percentage). Chisquare variance test were used to analyze the data, a p value less than 0.05 was considered as significant. Results:The success rate of renal biopsy is 92.1%, which is consistent with the published data. Within the 1148 patients experienced successful renal biopsy, age range 11~72 years, mean age 34.06±11.84 years. Han nationality766 cases (66.7%), uygur nationality301 cases (27.8%). When analyzed by pathological type, the most common disease was the primary glomerular disease(76.1%), followed by secondary glomerular diseases(13.0%). The most common primary MsPGN(42.1%), followed by IgA nephropathy (29.5%), membranous nephropathy(12.4%). The most common pathological type of secondary glomerulonephritis is Lupus nephritis(51.7%),followed by HSPGN(35.6%). The most common pathological type of Renal transplantation were acute and chronic rejection in 70 patients. The most common clinical manifestations of renal biopsy is Chronic nephritis syndrome, followed by nephrotic syndrome. No significant differences were found between Han and uygur nationality in the distribution of above pathology types (P> 0.05). However, when the sex data were analyzed, we found that the primary glomerulone phritis occurred more common in male(54.0%)with male to female ratio 1.17:1, while the SGD occured more common in female(63.9%)with male to female ratio 0.56:1 (P< 0.05).When the ages data of patients with primary glomerulone phritis were analyzed, we found that the incidence population concentrated in the(20-39)years of PGD. Interestingly, a higher incidence rate of Uygur patients occurred at the age from 20 to 29 years, compare to those in Han nationality in which the high incidence rate at the age of 30 to 39(P<0.05). there were common complication of hematuria, perirenal hematoma to complications,5 patients of hematuria(0.5%),47 patients of perirenal hematoma (Volume is greater than 5cm3) (4.7%). Conclusion:Primary glomerulone phritis is still the most common form of renal disease, and MsPGN is the most common pathological type of primary glomerulonephritis followed by IgAN, most occur in men, that lupus nephritis is the most common pathological type of secondary glomerulone phritis, most occur in women, Male and adolescent were predominent in this group of patients. The most common clinical manifestations of renal biopsy is Chronic nephritis syndrome. Renal biopsy was an microinvasive method because of its high efficiency, relialility and security.
