Objective:To investigate the ratio of depressed patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) and analyze the relationship between endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene G894T polymorphism in the patiens suffering from depressed patients with CHD. Methods:There were about 217 patients who diagnosed coronary heart disease,45 of depression patients and 85 of normal controls been select in the research, they were divided into two groups according to the scores of Hamilton Depression Scale (24 items):group of depressed patients with CHD and group of CHD. Then the eNOS gene G894T polymorphism were measured and analyzed the difference of gene polymorphism between depressed patients with CHD,CHD patients, depression patients and normal controls. Results:There are about 39 cases Combined depression in 217 cases with coronary heart disease, accounted for 17.79%. Coronary heart disease in female patients with depression accounted for 21 cases, males accounted for 18 cases. Proportions were 46.25%,53.75%. There is no significant gender composition (P>0.05); Each G894T eNOS gene polymorphism of each gene frequency distribution:all accord with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium test (χ2 were 0.11,0.07,0.06 and 0.07, P>0.05). Detected only one case of TT homozygous gene type in CHD group. There were no significant difference of GT genotype and T allele frequencies between depressed patients with CHD and CHD patients, depressed patients with CHD and normal controls, depressed patients with CHD and depression patients (P>0.05). There were no significant difference of GT genotype and T allele frequencies between CHD patients respectively compare with depression patients and normal control. Conclusion:The ratio of comorbid coronary heart disease and depression accounted for 17.79%.but there are not significant gender composition difference. There are no significant difference between group of CHD,group of depression, group of depressed patients with CHD and normal controls with the GT genotype and T allele frequencies.
