Object: To investigate the factors predicting the recurrence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) after catheter ablation.Method: 161 PAF (55.86±12.70years, 102male) following catheter ablation were studied in this study. Clinic datum before and during ablation were recorded, and systematic follow-up was conducted after ablation. Univariate and multivariate analysis are carried out to determinate the factors predicting late recurrence of AF witch means AF recurrence after three months.Result: There were 34(21.12%)late recurrence. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis is carried out to the parameters that P<0.10 in the univariate analysis, witch include overweight/obesity , metabolic syndrome(MetS) , AF duration, left atrial diameter (LAD), Diabetes mellitus(DM) , E/A, procedural failure, structural heart disease and early recurrence , and the result shows that overweight /obesity (OR=4.04,95% CI 1.40 -11.62 , P=0.01), MetS (OR=3.23 , 95% CI 1.12-9.27 ,P=0.03) ,procedural failure (OR=46.01,95% CI 7.72 -274.34,P<0.001), early recurrence (OR=5.05 ,95% CI 1.67 -15.28 ,P=0.004) are the independent predictors of recurrence.Conclude: overweight/obesity, MetS, procedural failure and early recurrence are the independent predictors of recurrence of PAF after catheter ablation.
