Objective1. To understand the drug resistance of clinical isolates strains Klebsiella pneumoniae from Children in Chongqing Area and establish theoretical basis for clinicians who treat Kpc infection reasonably.2. To explore the clinical features and drug sensitivity of children septicemia with klebsiella pneumoniae in ChongQing area,so as to provide evidences for diagnosis and treatment of the diseases as early as possible.Methods1. Collected nasopharynx extracts from the children who suffered from pneumoniae and admitted to our hospital between November 30,2008 and November 30,2009 and done susceptibility testing, analysied results for Kpn2. A retrospective analysis on the clinical characteristics and drug sensitivity of all the 16 cases comfirmed as septicemia with klebsiella pneumoniae in our hospital from January,2008 to ,December,2009 was performed. Results1. 19 kinds of antibiotics have different levels of resistance for Kpn,The antimicrobial resistance percentage to the third generation cephalosporin was 66.6%, most resistance rates was higher than 30%, Carbapenem was 0.56%, Multiple drug resistance was 51.0%,The percentage of ESBLs strains was 66.6%, the resistance of ESBLs strains was higher than non- ESBLs strains.2. Among those 16 cases, 10 were newborn, 6 was premature(60%),7 was low birth weight(70%),8 was applications of introvenous catheter outside(80%), 2 was mechanical ventilation(20%), 1 was parenteral nutrition(10%), the manifestations of neonatal septicemia with klebsiella pneumoniae mainly consisted of jaundice, poor response, crying weakness, fever, hypothermia, feeding intolerance, shortness of breath, cyanosis and apnea. The clinical manifestation of the other group consisted of fever, chills, difficulty breathing, rash and so on. The resistance of Carbapenems were relatively low.Conclusion1. As raising up the drug resistance of clinical isolates strains Klebsiella pneumoniae and the incidence of ESBLs-producing from Children, The hospital should pay attention to the resistance surveillance and prevent both the occurrence and prevalence of nosocomial infection, The clinicians should attach importance to the prevalence and pathogenic examination, Rational using antibacterials.2. Compared to the other pathogens, the clinical manifestations of children septicemia with klebsiella pneumoniae was nonspecific, the risk factors of klebsiella pneumoniae septicemia probablly were prematurity, low birth weight, mechanical ventilation, application of introvenous catheter, applying antibiotics early and chemotherapy with leukemia, Carbapenems were the first choice for septicemia with klebsiella pneumoniae.
