Observation Of Clinical Effects On Traditional Chinese Medicine Comprehensive Therapy For Treating Acute Ischemia Stroke

Object iveWe observe the clinical effect of traditional chinese medicine comprehensive therapy in treating pattern of wind phlegm and blood stasis block the meridian syndrome of acute ischemia stroke by using case control study to evaluate the effectiveness and security.MethodsCollected 60 cases of patients with pattern of wind phlegm and blood stasis block the meridian syndrome of acute ischemia stroke being treated in our hospital from 2009-2011, who were randomly divided into two groups: traditional chinese medicine comprehensive therapy group and west medicine therapy group. Before the treatment, there was no significant difference in mean age, gender, course of diseases ang NIHSS score between the two groups (P>0.05). For 21days as a course, every group was treated, and with a follow-up for 3 months. The clinical effect was evaluated by NIHSS,BI,SS-QOL and mRS, after treatment 21th,90th days. The clinical effect of tradional Chinese medicine was evaluated by The Diagnostic And Effective Criteria Of Diseases And Symptoms in TCM. Observe the curative effect of two groups to make comments this treatment plan. ResultsCompare with traditional chinese medicine comprehensive therapy group (n=30) and west medicine therapy group (n= 30):1, neural function defect level:according to assess clinical curative effect by using NIHSS rating scale, two groups was not statistically significant (p>0.05), tipping in organ level of functional recovery, two treatment scheme have same effect. 2, disability/life ability level:Use BI index rating scale to assess clinical curative effect, there is no difference at the end of treatment and no statistical significance (P>0.05) between two groups. But in the next 3 months of follow-up, when compared with the groups, there is a statistically significant (P<0.05), suggests that the traditional chinese medicine comprehensive therapy has an advantage in improving the ability of living. We use mRS scale to evaluate when treatment ended and 3 months follow-up, found no difference between the two groups.there is still not statistically significant (P>0.05), but can be found that in the traditional Chinese medicine comprehensive therapy group, the number of the normal patients is growing, but not in the west medicine therapy group.3, disabled/survival quality level:After the treatment and the 3months follow-up we use the SS-QOL rating scale to assess the patients survival quality in patients. By analyzing data between two groups there is not statistically significant (P>0.05), but we find the trend of improve survival quality in the traditional Chinese medicine comprehensive therapy group. 4, According to the curative standard TCM symptoms to assess clinical curative effect of Chinese medicine:after the treatment and the 3months follow-up determination of TCM follow-up TCM comprehensive therapy can improve the signs and symptoms of patients(P<0.05). ConclusionIn organ level of functional recovery aspect two treatment strategies curative effect quite. But in improve patients' life ability, improve survival quality TCM comprehensive therapy has the advantage. And with the extension of follow-up, the difference is more significant. Research results shows that the traditional chinese medicine comprehensive therapy is worthwhile, exactly curative further expansion samples for validation of multiple centers cooperation to promote the application.
