| ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect and the safety of treating cervical spondylosis radiculopathy by herbal patch combined with acupuncture treatment, and discuss its mechanism initially so as to explore a therapeutic method which has definite effect and is easy to be operated.MethodsAccording to the inclusion criteria,60 patients of cervical spondylosis radiculopathy were selected by randomly divided into two groups. The trestment group adopt herbal patches and traditional acupuncture and the control group adopt only acupuncture. All patients were treated there times a week and both treated 2 weeks. Comprehensive assessment that includes symptoms and functional scores and comprehensive assessment of pain are conducted before treatment, after the end of two weeks. Using SPSS13.0 of statistical software for statistical analysis observe the situations of the patients.ResultsAfter two weeks, the total cured rate of experimental group is 96.7%, better than 80.8% of the control group. P< 0.05 shows that herbal patches and traditional acupuncture is better than only acupuncture. After two weeks, comparison includes symptoms and functional scores and comprehensive assessment of pain in both group (P< 0.01). The result shows that analgesic effect in the therapeutic group is better than that in the control group(P < 0.01). that shows herbal patches and traditional acupuncture is better than only acupuncture on comparison includes symptoms and functional scores and comprehensive assessment of painConclusionsThe using of herbal patches and traditional acupuncture can safety and effecty to improve the patients of cervical spondylosis radiculopathy's comparison includes symptoms and functional scores and comprehensive assessment of pain, the curative effect of herbal patches and traditional acupuncture is better than only acupuncture, and was one of the effective therapy in the treatment of cervical spondylosis radiculopathy.
