ObjectivesTo objectively assess the clinical efficacy of the hollow with lag serew fixation combined with Chinese formulated products in treatmenting fresh scaphoid bone fraeture.MethodsAll cases of the Department in 2009-2011 Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medieine Second Affiliated Hospital of the department of orthopaedics, according to the standard cases and case exclusion criteria, select 50 cases of fresh wrist scaphoid fracture were divided into A group(treatment group)hollow lag screw fixation treatment with Chinese medicine and 26 cases of group B(control group) plaster external fixation for the treatment of 24 cases of the program. Treatment group and control group of patients with gender, age, distribution of dominant hand, duration, as statistical testing, no significant difference(P>0.05), comparable. Surgical treatment the treatment group:All cases were performed with in the hollow lag screw fixation, postoperative patients without fixed plaster, to be a wound healing medicine at the second day after their operating, the chinese formulated products named Shangke Jiegu Pian would be used, after 6-8 weeks, to see weather the bone growth, fracture lines blurred, further functional exercise. Conservative treatment control group:all cases are with expectant treatment, patients with fixed plaster hand care outreach to the thumb, wrist flexion of 15 degrees, ulnar deviation slightly 6-8weeks, to remove gypsum show films silly bone growth, fracture lines blurred, further functional exercise. From the pain, wrist range of motion (flexion and extension, torsion partial foot, pronation/supination), wrist strength, the use of patients with contralateral hand to score excellent, good, satisfactory and poor in four grades. Hollow with lag screw fixation treatment of Chinese medieine is better than the control group with conservative treatment. Group screw fixation of hollow with Chinese medicine treatment group in the clinical treatment of fresh carpal scaphoid fracture area than the control group have a certain advantage.
