ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect on treating simple obesity with embeding thread into acu-point and try to provide a method, which is more effective, safer and easier to operated, to treating simple central obesity in clinical work.MethodsThrough using the SPSS program to produce the a serial of random number, 60 obesity patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. In the treatment group, the therapy of embeding thread into acu-point is applicable (once a week,8 weeks), as well as the electro-acupunture therapy is used in the control group(thice a week,8 weeks). The acu-points we chose mainly locate in the abdomen and back, combined with some acu-points based on different symptom. Both of groups are asked to diet and do some exercise. By comparing the weight, BMI, waist circumference of two groups before and after 2 course of treatment (8 weeks), to observe the clinical effect on treating simple obesity with embeding thread into acu-point.ResultThere is no statistics-difference between the two groups, including age, gender, pattern of syndrome, course of disease, the weight, BMI, waist circumference, whice is recorded before the treatment (P>0.05). However, in all 60 patients, the result show the female is more than male, average age is 40, average course of disease is 6.5 years. And the pattern of syndrome named PiXuShiZhu is most common pattern in four of them.1. Comparing the weight, BMI, waist circumference of two groups respectively before and after the treatment, the values above are significantly different (P<0.05) in both groups. It illustrate that both of them is effective in treating the Simple Obesity.2. At the same times, the comparison between the two groups is carried out, it shows that the decline of the values in treatment group is more obvious than the control group, which is significantly different statistically (P<0.05).3. After the therapy, the treatment group had a cured rate of 23.3%, a significant improved rate of 76.6%, and a total effective rate of 96.6%, and 7 cases were cured,16 cases were significant improved,6 cases were improved, 1 case had no effect. The control group had a cured rate of 13.3%, a significant improved rate of 56.6%, and a total effect rate of 86.6%, and 4 cases were cured,13 cases were significant improved,11 cases were improved,4 cases had no effect. The effect of two groups had significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionBoth of the two therapies are effective in treating simple obesity, which could improve the patient's image significantly. Moreover, for the consistant stimulating effect of the acu-point with the embeding therapy probably, the therapy of embeding thread into points is more effective than the electro-acupunture therapy.
