| BackgroundWith the social progress and development, people have more and more increasingly demand of health, and modern medical research is gradually focused on disease control and prevention. If the health status of the body can be identified accurately, the risk of disease can be foreseen in time so that the doctors can give patients earlier treatment and reduce the incidence of the disease. But the health include not only physical health, but also mental health, which is also under the influence of heredity, human community, or other factors. The research of Constitution of Traditional Chinese Medicine is from the health perspective, and covers the concept of health, which has individual features. Therefore, the research on the TCM constitution has become the focus of medical research.The implementation of "Classification and determination of TCM constitution "marks that the standardization of TCM constitution's identification has been formatted.but the formulation of the standard is mainly based on the patients' subjective feelings, so if we add some objective indicators, the standard will be more complete. Traditional quantitative research is currently still quite dependent on means of modern medical research, by looking for certain laboratory indicators and instrument data to explain certain concepts of the TCM. But these micro-data indicators can not explain these concepts very well which belongs to holistic medicine. Therefore, exploring scientific and effective methods of objective constitution identification is the main direction of health identification research in the future.ObjectivesThrough detecting the meridian thermal sensitivity of placidness constitution and qi deficiency constitution people, observe the compare the thermal characteristics of them and discuss the application of meridian thermal sensitivity measurement in objective constitution identification research.MethodsThere were 60 persons in this study who were willing to do constitution identification and accept to detected by meridian thermal sensitivity measurement, including 30 placidness constitution people and 30 qi deficiency constitution people. And then process the data and convert them into some indicators such as median, maximum, variance, thermal coefficient and unbalanced index. Finally, establish the databases and analyze qi deficiency constitution people's thermal characteristics by using SPSS17.0.ResultsThrough detecting the meridian thermal sensitivity of placidness constitution and qi deficiency constitution people,the results of study reflects the qi deficiency constitution people's thermal characteristics:1. In the overall acupoints statistics, almost all of the median, maximum and variance of qi deficiency constitution people's thermal measurements are more than placidness constitution people's data. In the average ranks or the means of upper limbs' original acupoints'medians, variance, maximum (including Gaohuang original points), lower limbs' jing acupoints' medians, variance, maximum, overall original acupoints' medians, variance, maximum, lower limbs' original acupoints'variance, maximum and upper limbs' jing acupoints'maximum, these data of qi deficiency constitution people are more than placidness constitution people's data obviously, which exist statistical differences (P<0.05). And in the individual acupoints measurements statistics, qi deficiency constitution people measurements are almost more than the placidness constitution people's. In the the average rank of measurements of Chong Yang, Tai Bai, Jing Gu, Tai Xi, Tai Chong, Spleen Shu, Zhong Lv Shu, Bai Huan Shu, Gallbladder Shu, Kindey Shu, Bladder Shu, Wan Gu, Hou Xi, Jiu Wei, Qi Hai, Feng Men, Pericardium Shu, these data of qi deficiency constitution people are more than placidness constitution people's data obviously, which exist significant differences (P<0.05).The results of the indicators show that qi deficiency constitution people's thermal quality is worse than the placidness constitution people's, especially Chong Yang, Tai Bai, Jing Gu, Tai Xi, Tai Chong, Spleen Shu, Zhong Lv Shu, Bai Huan Shu, Gallbladder Shu, Kindey Shu, Bladder Shu, Wan Gu, Hou Xi, Jiu Wei, Qi Hai, Feng Men and Pericardium Shu, which corresponds to qi deficiency constitution people's the pathological state of zang fu organs dysfunction.2. In the thermal coefficient statistics, the placidness constitution people's occurrence rate of lower thermal sensitivity is no more than 20% (including 20%). In the qi deficiency constitution people, the rate of Bladder Shu (66.7%) is the highest, secondly Hou Xi (63.3%), and then Wan Gu(53.3%),Jing Gu(46.7%), Tai Bai (40%), Spleen Shu (36.7%), Tai Xi(30%). The other points are not more than 25%. Among them, the qi deficiency constitution people's occurrence rate of lower thermal sensitivity of Du Shu, Wan Gu, Hou Xi, Spleen Shu, Bladder Shu, Tai Bai, Jing Gu are higher than the placidness constitution people's, and exist significant differences (P<0.05). The qi deficiency constitution people's thermal coefficient of Tai Bai, Jing Gu, Bladder Shu, Hou Xi,Wan Gu are higher than the placidness constitution people's, and exist significant differences (P<0.05). The results of the indicators show that Du Shu, Spleen Shu, Hou Xi, Wan Gu, Tai Bai, Jing Gu and Bladder Shu's have the most significant reduction in thermal sensitivity, and the measurements have the significant changes. Therefore the qi deficiency constitution people is deficient in Du meridian, Foot Tai Yang bladder meridian, Hand Tai Yang small intestine meridian and Foot Tai Yin spleen meridian.3. In the unbalanced state statistics, the placidness constitution people's occurrence rate of unbalanced state is no more than 20%(including 20%). In the qi deficiency constitution people,the rate of Wan Gu (43.3%) and Jing Gu (43.3%) is the highest, secondly Hou Xi (36.7%), and then Tai Bai (26.7%), Bladder Shu (23.3%), Chong Yang (23.3%), Nei Guan (23.3%), Spleen Shu (20%). The other points are not more than 20%. Among them, the qi deficiency constitution people's occurrence rate of unbalanced state of Wan Gu,Hou Xi, Tai Bai, Jing Gu are higher than the placidness constitution people's, and exist significant differences (P<0.05). The qi deficiency constitution people's unbalanced index of Guan Yuan Shu, Jing Gu, Bladder Shu, Hou Xi are higher than the placidness constitution people's, and exist significant differences (P<0.05). The results of the indicators show that Yuan Shu, Wan Gu, Jing Gu, Bladder Shu and Hou Xi are in the most obvious imbalance. Therefore the bilateral Foot Tai Yang bladder meridian, Hand Tai Yang small intestine meridian and Foot Tai Yin spleen meridian of qi deficiency constitution people are in the imbalance.In a word, the Qi deficiency constitution people's meridian mainly change in Du meridian, Foot Tai Yang bladder meridian, Hand Tai Yang small intestine meridian and Foot Tai Yin spleen meridian. And Foot Shao Yin kidney meridian, Foot Jue Yin liver meridian, Foot Shao Yang gallbladder meridian and Foot Yang Ming stomach meridian also relate to Qi deficiency constitution, but is not so close.ConelusionThis study's results of qi deficiency constitution and the placidness constitution people's meridian thermal sensitivity detection shows that qi deficiency constitution people's thermal quality is worse than the placidness constitution people's, especially Chong Yang, Tai Bai, Jing Gu, Tai Xi, Tai Chong, Spleen Shu, Zhong Lv Shu, Bai Huan Shu, Gallbladder Shu, Kindey Shu, Bladder Shu, Wan Gu, Hou Xi, Jiu Wei, Qi Hai, Feng Men and Pericardium Shu, which corresponds to qi deficiency constitution people's the pathological state of zang fu organs dysfunction. The Du Shu, Spleen Shu, Hou Xi, Wan Gu, Tai Bai, Jing Gu and Bladder Shu's have the most significant reduction in thermal sensitivity. Yuan Shu, Wan Gu, Jing Gu, Bladder Shu and Hou Xi are in the most obvious imbalance. Therefore the qi deficiency constitution people is deficient and imbalanced in Du meridian, Foot Tai Yang bladder meridian, Hand Tai Yang small intestine meridian and Foot Tai Yin spleen meridian. It fully reflects that the qi deficiency constitution have skin yang, spleen and stomach deficiency, which corresponds to qi deficiency constitution's characteristics in the "Classification and determination of TCM constitution ". It suggests that in a certain extent, meridian thermal sensitivity measurement can reflect qi deficiency constitution people's thermal characteristics objectively, which can provide constitution identification for reference.
