ObjectiveC-reactive protein is an inflammatory marker believed to be valuable in the prediction of coronary events. Constitutional medicine of traditional Chinese medicine can adjust the deviation of our body and retard the affection from the disease by analyzing our state. We report data from a small study of C-reactive protein and the syndrome-classification in the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine from coronary heart disease patients, as well as updated meta-analyses, to evaluate their relevance to offer some objective criterion.MethodChoose 89 patients with angina hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from October,2010 to april,2011, according to the referring New Medicine Clinical Research Guideline of Traditional Chinese Medicine published in 2002, and choose 10 normal volunteer who are healthy after taken medical examination. Then separate the patients for 8 group based on the standard named the categorization and assessment of constitution of traditional Chinese medicine drawn up by China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and on the table for self-determination of constitution of traditional Chinese medicine, include balance, qi deficiency, yang asthenia, yin asthenia, phlegmatic hygrosis, humid heat, blood stasis and depressed vital energy group. Control group is set up by 10 normal volunteer from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM according to the principle of comparability. Take a statistical analysis after the comparison between their C-reactive protein and blood fat levels. Set up a data base then use the factor such as C-reactive protein, low density lipoprotein, cholesterol to take t-test, variance test or rank test by SPSS 17.0. ResultThe result from the analysis of 89 angina patients tells us that 20 angina patients are humid heat type, which is 20.23 percent of all. Also there are 18 patients of phlegmatic hygrosis type,22.47 percent of all, while 31 patients are blood stasis type,34.83 percent of all. C-reactive protein in angina patients of phlegmatic hygrosis type, humid heat and blood stasis type are 1.581±1.076mg/L,1.297±0.885mg/L and 2.109±1.547mg/L, their low density lipoprotein are 2.646±0.314mmol/L,2.809±0.814mmol/L and 2.694±1.019mmol/L, their cholesterol are 5.088±1.353mmol/L,4.976±0.844mmol/L and 4.733±1.288mmol/L. These levels are much higher than those in normal volunteer, whose C-reactive protein is 0.499±0.027mg/L, low density lipoprotein is 1.690±0.314mmol/L, and cholesterol is 3.249±0.299mmol/L. These comparison of test data between all types of angina patients and normal volunteer has significant difference (P<0.01), which means statistical significant. The comparison of C-reactive protein, low density lipoprotein and cholesterol between phlegmatic hygrosis type, humid heat and blood stasis type and other types also angina patients has significant difference (P<0.05).But The comparison of C-reactive protein, low density lipoprotein and cholesterol between humid heat type, phlegmatic hygrosis type and blood stasis type angina patients does not have significant difference (P>0.05)ConclusionThe result tells us that phlegmatic hygrosis, humid heat and blood stasis human is much easier to suffer from angina. C-reactive protein, low density lipoprotein and total cholesterol levels are closely related to phlegmatic hygrosis type humid heat type and blood stasis type constitution of traditional Chinese medicine of angina patients.
