Objective:This research investigate the relations between the type of coronary heart disease and the scoop, the non-scoop or the counter-scoop heart rate, then analyze the form of the non-scoop heart rate and the significance in patients with coronary heart disease.Methods:Between Jan 2003 and May 2009, 240 patients were divided into coronary heart disease(CHD) group and non CHD group after coronary angiography. Then, the CHD group divided into 3 group: single right coronary artery affection group, single left coronary artery affection group and double vessel affection group.All patients underwent 24-hour Holter before coronary angiography,and separated into the scoop, the non-scoop or the counter-scoop heart rate.Then, we analyze the differences of heart rate among the groups.Results:1.Among the groups of the scoop, the non-scoop or the counter-scoop heart rate:there was no statistics significance on gender and average heart rate (P=0.884),but has statistics significance on age(P<0.01).The patients who has smoking history are increased(P=0.024).The patients with hypertension are also increased(P=0.009). the number of diabetic patients and lipid has no significant difference.2.Among the non CHD group, the number of patients with scoop heart rate was significantly higher than the other groups(P<0.01).Among single right coronary artery affection group, the number of patients with non-scoop heart rate was significantly higher than the other groups(P<0.01).Among single left coronary artery affection group, the number of patients with non-scoop heart rate was significantly higher than the other groups(P<0.01).Among double vessel affection group, it has statistics significance between non-scoop heart rate and scoop heart rate ,also exist in the counter-scoop heart rate and scoop heart rate (P<0.01).Conclusions:When right coronary artery was affected,patients with CHD prone to occur non-scoop and counter-scoop heart rate. Right coronary artery affection may be a important risk factor which lead to non-scoop and the counter-scoop heart rate. the left coronary artery also has influence on heart rate and become a fact to non-scoop heart rate. non-scoop heart rate is a important index to assess coronary artery.
