Objective: To explore and analysis on effects of adult long time cardiopulmonary resuscitation during different times in-hospital then provide some references about long time CPR.Methods: The objects of this research came from adult cardiac arrest patients who have survived after a long time CPR in our hospital. According to the actual situation of our hospital, I took May 31, 2006 as the dividing point. Before and after this day, the objects were divided into two groups, which is named "Group 2000 "and "Group 2005 ". Usingχ2-test to analyse these dates about the success rates of CPR during the two different times in order to find out the cause. Results: Group 2000, a total of 25 cases, only 5 patients survived after a long time CPR, the success rate of CPR just was 20.00%. Group 2005, a total of 50 cases, there were 23 patients survived after a long time CPR, the success rate of CPR was only 46.00%. All of these dates were analyzed byχ2 test (χ2 = 4.816), P <0.05, then the result means statistical significance. Conclusions: The method according to《International cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care guidelines 2005》can raise the CPR success rate observably. In our hospital, it can be increased from 20.00% to 46.00%. It should be given to the purposes of long time CPR as long as any not artificial ECG waveform appeared within 30 minutes which is during the process of traditional CPR.
