Objective:To find out whether high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), lipoprotein(a), serum homocysteine, Helicobacter pylori infection, level of serum total bilirubin, serum high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP), small low-density lipoprotein(s LDL) are related to coronary heart disease in China. Methods:We gathered all of the case-control studies about coronary heart disease which were publishes in PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane, CNKI, wanfang, VIP, Cbm, since 1990, assessed the relationship between coronary heart disease and risk factors include high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), lipoprotein(a), serum homocysteine, Helicobacter pylori infection, level of serum total bilirubin, serum high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP), and small low-density lipoprotein(s LDL).We used meta-analysis to calculate the pooled OR or MD and 95%CI. Results:Twenty-eight studies were included. The results of meta-analysis demonstrated that low high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), high low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), high lipoprotein (a), high serum homocysteine and Helicobacter pylori infection had relationship with coronary heart disease. The pooled OR and 95%CI were 3.38 (1.33,8.63),4.75 (1.25,18.08),2.64 (1.40,4.98),9.43 (3.88,22.90) and 2.45 (1.90,3.15).Low level of serum total bilirubin, high serum high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and small low-density lipoprotein(s LDL) are also association with coronary heart disease. The pooled MD and 95%CI were-5.13 (-9.53,-0.72),3.58(2.33,4.83),10.94(3.44,18.45).Conclusion:Low high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C), high low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C), high lipoprotein(a), small low-density lipoproteiri(s LDL),high serum homocysteine and Helicobacter pylori infection, low level of serum total bilirubin, and high serum high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) have relationship with coronary heart disease.
