Objectives:The study aimed at as a benchmark of job competency to understand each layer nursing staff to nurse training demands, trying to provide the basis for making the scientific and rational new nurse training plan.Methods:To make up the questionnaire "The training demands of new nurse based on the job competency" by consulting related literature, group discussion, experts appraisals and preliminiary, then the reliability and the validity of questionnaire were verified. Stratified sampling according to the nurse grading was used.300 nurses in the first affiliated hospital of college of medicine, zhejiang university were investigated. Survey results were analyzed by SPSS 16.0 software.Results:1 The demand level of the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values training content was higher. Average scores of 90 training content were in between 3.86-4.84, which biased in favor of the very need (M≥4.5) was 34, and other items in favour of need.2 Part of the traing content should attach importance to training. The higher demand level of the training content by different classification nurse included:various rules and regulations, related laws and regulations, the nursing quality standards, the emergency plan, nursing documents writing standards, hand-over content, workflow, top ten patient sofety goals, clinical commonly used medicine knowledge and nursing, rescue drugs, seriously op-patient observation and rescue coordination, five failure, water electrolyte acid-base, clinical skills commonly used, clinical work and emotional stress relief methods, nurses etiquette, professional morality and norms of behavior standard, nursing profession education.3 Five entries of the 90 entries of new nurse training content had been significant differences between defferent education new nurse (P<0.05 or P<0.01); There were no differences on training content between the new nurse in the different practice hospital.4 The training approach required diversification. Training of different subjects required training methods, mainly included theory teaching,seminars,case analysis,demonstration teaching,scenario simulation,nursing rounds,the exchange of experience and self-study, etc.Conclusions:The demand level of all nurses on the new training contents by the hospital unified arrangement was higher. Part of the traing content should attach importance to training. There were differences on only a small part training content between the defferent education new nurse. There were no differences on training content between the new nurse in the different practice hospital. The training mode according to different requirements used different training methods.
