Clinical Research On Clinical Efficacy And Quality Of Life Of Depressed Patients Treated With Meng Shi Gun Tan Wan Jia Jian Fang

Objective:By observing the clinical effect and influence of life quality of Meng Shi Gun Tan Wan Jia Jian Fang to depression patients, this subject discussed the improvement degree of the effect and life quality, so as to explore new ideas and effective prescriptions to depression patients.Methods:A total of 60 patients were investigated in this subject. All of them conformed to the diagnostic criteria of depression episode and phlegm-heat stagnation-type standards of TCM in "Chinese Classification and Diagnostic Criteria of Mental Disorders third edition" (CCMD-â…¢). Then randomly divided them into two groups,30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group. The treatment group was treated with Fluoxetine and Meng Shi Gun Tan Wan Jia Jian Fang, while the control group was only given Fluoxetine. The total course of treatment were 6 weeks. Finally observed the differences of the two groups before and after treatment in Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD), health survey scale (SF-36) and traditional Chinese medicine symptom rating scale changes.Results:According to the statistical analysis, the total excellence rate of the treatment group was 86.67%, with a total effective rate 96.67%; while the total excellence rate of the control group was 70.00% and the total effective rate was 93.33%. There was no significant difference between the two groups in their total effect (P>0.05),but in improving the scores of HAMD scale, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group. After treatment,in improving the quality of life, both of the two groups had significant improvement in all the dimensions of SF-36 scales, however, the treatment group outweighed the control group in the overall health, social function, mental health, physiological functions, vitality and emotional dimensions (P<0.05).Besides, there were less side effects in the treatment group.Conclusion:Meng Shi Gun Tan Wan Jia Jian Fang could eliminate sputum,clear heat and regulate qi to allieviate mental depression.hence it had a good effect in improving the phlegm-heat stagnation depressive patients'clinical symptoms, elevating their life quality, and greatly decreasing the onset of side effect of Fluoxetine.
