Effect Of Cytokines And Clinical Research On Efficacy Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Type Of Phlegm-Heat Obstructing Lungs With Ping Chuan Granule

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of PingChuan Granule in the treatment of Acutely Exacerbated Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(AECOPD) and its influence on Interleukin-8(IL-8) Tumor Necrosis Factor-α(TNF-α).Investigate the mechanism of the effects of PingChuan Granule against airway inflammation.Methods:Sixty hospitalized AECOPD patients with retention of randomly divided into two groups, the trial group and the control group.The trial group take the PingChuan Granule, the control group take the routine western medicine.The period of treatment is 15 days. To compare the results of two groups by analyzing clinical symptom and sin, blood gas analysis, the level of IL-8 and TNF-αin the peripheral blood.Results:Clinical symptom and sign:After the treatment, melioration of clinical symptom and sign in both groups has significant difference (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, melioration of the trial group, such as cough, sputum, chest distress, appetite, rhonchi is greater, showing significant difference (P<0.05). The above result show that therapy of two groups both can help COPD and the trial group is better than the control group.Blood gas analysis:The melioration of PaO2 and PaCO2 has significant difference in both groups (P<0.05). Compared with control group, melioration of the trial group is greater and has significant difference (P<0.05). So we can see that the therapy of both groups can help to improve the indexes of blood gas analysis.The trial group is superior to the control group.TNF-αand IL-8 in the peripheral blood:TNF-αand IL-8 in the peripheral blood of both groups reduce, showing significant difference(P<0.05). TNF-αand IL-8 reduce more greatly in the trial group(P<0.05). So we can see that the effect of the trial group on reducing TNF-αand IL-8 in the peripheral blood is more significant than the control group.Conclusions:PingChuan Granule can ameliorate the clinical symptom and sign, improve anoxia and carbon dioxide retention and debase the level of TNF-αand IL-8 in the peripheral blood of the patients with AECOPD.PingChuan Granule can debase the level of TNF-αand IL-8 in the peripheral blood. The results indicate this one of the mechanism of the effects of PingChuan Granule in the treatment of AECOPD. The study has important sense in more research and exploitation on PingChuan Granule.
