Obejtctive:To assess the QOL in stroke Patienis,ideniify variables that could predict quality of life after stroke and also to provide reasonable methods for improving their QOL.Method:We investigated 164 patients consecutively admitted to the neurology,neurosurgery of 4 Grade III Class hospitals in Urumuqi Xinjiang province, China.The period of time was from Febrary 2007 to February 2009.Patients completed two questionnaires at 2 weeks after stroke and 6 months, that included socioeconomic variables,SIS,CES-D.The descriptive,T test,analysis of variance, repeated measurement two-way ANOVA and multivariate analysis of variance were adopted. Result:Through comparing patients after stroke two weeks with six monthes, we find that QOL were improved obviously(P<0.01). QOL scores of male patients is higher than female's (p< 0.05). The QOL of stroke Patients was related with age and their attitude of treating disease.Social support and family support are satisfactory for patients.69.7% of patients has depression after 2 weeks, after 6 months there is still 58.6% of patients with depression. There is a significant negative correlation between QOL of stroke patients with depression.Conclusion:QOL of stroke patients is related with gender, age, family support, social support and psychological status.It shows:in clinical care, home care, community care, should intervent stroke risk factors as early as possible,and give enough attention for mental health patients.We should improve the construction of community rehabilitation and increase their service capacity.We should promote community, family members to participat in the rehabilitation of stroke patients during training.
