Effect Of Huanglian Wendan Decoction On Insulin Resistance And Serum Free Fatty Aicd In Metabolic Syndrome Rats

Objective: To observe the effects of Huanglian Wendan Decoction on insulin resistance and serum free fatty acid in rats with metabolic syndrome,parallel to explore its mechanism.Method:Sixty 7-week-old male SD rats were randomly divided into 2 groups which were vacuity group (n=10) and experimental group(n=50). vacuity group was fed with normal diet.Experimental group was fed with high lipid, high glucose and high salt diet and copied MS model of rats. After feeding rats for 20 weeks,the vacuity group as blank group continues to experiment.The 37 MS rats in experimental group which were modeled were randomly divided into several groups:model group,control group,huanglian wendan decoction high-dose group and low-dose group,which were lavaged with the appropriate drug for 4 weeks.To measure rat body weight,blood pressure,fasting blood glucose, fasting serum insulin, blood lipids and other indicators, calculate L-ee's index and HOMA-IR,detect the levels of Serum free fatty acid by colorimetric method.Result:1.Compared with the vacuity group,The weight, abdominal circumference, blood pressure, fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, lipids TG, TC and LDL of Experimental rats were significantly higher, HDL level of reduction (P<0.01).2.Compared with the blank group, HDL level of model rats was decreased,and other indicators were significantly higher(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,The weight, Lee's index,visceral fat weight,visceral fat and body weight ratio,FBG,FINS,HOMA-IR in control group and huanglian high-group were decreased(P<0.01orP<0.05),The blood pressure, lipids TG, TC,LDL were significantly decreased in huanglian high-group(P<0.01).The weight, lipids TC and Lee's index were significantly lower in huanglian low-group (P<0.01orP<0.05).3.Compared with the blank group,FFA level of model rats was significantly higher(P<0.01).Compared with the model group, the levels of FFA in control group, huanglian high-group and low-group were significantly decreased(P<0.01).Conclusion:1.High fat high sugar high salt diet feeding SD rats for Long term can copy the MS model with the basic human features of MS.2.Huanglian Wendan Decoction can loss weight, lower blood pressure, regulate lipid and improve insulin resistance, which can improve the various components of MS.3.Huanglian Wendan Decoction can reduce the level of the serum FFA of MS rats, improve the state of insulin resistance to achieve the purpose of the treatment of MS.
