【Objective】To compare the curative effect of acupuncture combined with Chinse herb by humid wet compressing and acupuncture solely and find a new therapeutic methods in treating facial neuritis.【Methods】In the clinical observation,60 patients were assigned randomly and equally to the target group and the control group.The target group had 30 cases,and accepted the treatment of acupuncture combined with Chinse herb by humid wet compressing; the control group had 30 cases either,and accepted the treatment of acupuncture solely.The observation lasted for 4 weeks.The main symptoms were used as indicatives in this observation.The severity of illness and curative effect were scaled and accessed by the House-Brackmann(H-B)facial nerve grading scale and Toronto facial grading system(TFGS).The SPSS17.0 was ultimately applied to analyse the data acquired in this study.【Results】1.There were statistically significant differences in the curative effect between the the target group and the control group,accessed by the House-Brackmann (H-B) facial nerve grading scale and TFGS(P<0.01).2.There were statistically significant differences in the curative effect between the the target group and the control group, the effective rate were 97% and 80% respectively(P<0.05).【Conclusion】1.Acupuncture combined with Chinse herb by humid wet compressing is an effective treatment in facial neuritis.2.The therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with Chinse herb by humid wet compressing is superior to acupuncture solely.3.Acupuncture combined with Chinse herb by humid wet compressing is safe and curative in treating facial neuritis.
