ObjectiveBy the survey on health status of laid-off workers'families in six districts of Zhengzhou city, the research is expectd to find the existed problems and conditions about the demand and utilization of health service of the laid-off workers'families, and then furtherly analyse the characteristics of the demand and utilization. In the end, the research is hoped to provide scientific basis for the government's judgement so that health status can be improved and health rank can be enhanced.MethodsThis research took the approaches of literature review to determine the index of laid-off workers'health. The practical survey methods were adopted to collect the documents of laid-off worker's health status, health service and utilization. The descriptive methods were taken to analyse health status of laid-off worker and the conditions of utilization about health services. This research used single factor analysis, multi-factors analysis and logistic regression analysis methods to explore the influencing factores of utilization of health service about laid-off workers' families.ResultsThe laid-off workers'families of the six administrative regions in Zhengzhou had the prevalence of 10.62% and 18.38% rate of chronic illness in two weeks. The family of laid-off workers that is not sick should seek medical attendance was 30.19%; no patient who should be hospitalized was 69.94%. The main reason for the patients who should go to see the doctor but not to visit is due to financial difficulties, accounting for 90.72% of all causes, chronic disesses account for 14.25%, multivariate analysis showed that the prevalence of chronic diseases on the laid-off workers have a positive promotion the role of factors:age older than 45years old, per ConclusionsBased on the above results, this study obtained the following conclutions:(1) economic factors are the major factors to effect the health of laid-off workers' families; (2) community health services will help reduce the financial burden of laid-off workers'families and improve health service needs and uses; (3) conducting community health services help implement the policy laid-off workers'families medical care; (4) to establish community health service supporting system is an effective way to improve the health status of laid-off workers'families.
