| Cystitis glandularis is a benign disease of the transitional epithelium after the stimulus of the bacteria, crystal, ion in the urine, whose major clinical symptom is thamuria, urgency, odynuria and pain on hypogastric zone. There is no obviously use to practice a anti-inflammatory way. With the development of medical science and the patients'consciousness for health, cystitis glandularis will be payed more and more close attention. Objective To discuss the efficacy of intravesical instillation of sodium hyaluronate for the treatment of cystitis glandularis afer transurethral electroresection. Methods Eighty-five cases who underwent transurethral electroresection diveided into three groups according to the medicine for intravescal instillation, sodium hyaluronate for group A, epirubicin for group B and no medicine for group C. The patients of group A started to perfused with sodium hyaluronate 40mg after one week from the operation once a week for four times, and then once a month for also four times. The patients in group B did the same way of intravesical instillation of epirubicin。All the patients were followed-up for 12 months. They must do cystoscopy every three months to detect recurrence and fill in clinical symptom score appendix at 1,3,6 and 12 months to evaluate the symptom of frequency, urgency and odynuria. Results No patients in group A treated by sodium hyaluronate relapsed but 6 cases and 9 cases in group B and group C respectively. Recurrence rate of group A is significant low compared with group B and C(P<0.05);the score of clinical symptom score appendix after 1,3,6 and 12 months for group A were 3.18±1.442, 1.29±0.659, 1.25±0.645 and 1.21±0.630, respectively. 3.37±1.621, 3.33±1.593, 1.37±0.742 and 1.30±0.609 for group B, and 3.47±1.814, 3.40±1.522, 2.94±1.413 and 2.85±1.194 for group C.Conclusion Intravesical sodium hyaluronate therapy can effectively decline the recurrence rate of cystitis glandularis after transurethral electroresection. It can also significantly improve the urinary tract symptoms. |
