Study On Large Medical Equipment Typell Current Status And Utilizing Evaluation In Sichuan Province

Objective:To study the allocation and situation of large medical equipment type II in Sichuan Province, include the operation, maintenance, quality control, staffing, etc. To analyze the equity,utilization and cost-benefit and provide a basis for the scientific management and the reasonable allocation for hospital and health administration department. Besides, to filter some indexes about large medical equipment for the future collect-information on equipment.Methods:Collected equipment information through survey, and analytical method is as follows:(1) Literature analysis method;(2) Delphi method:for determining the utilization indexes and compare with the result from the investigation;(3) Cost-benefit analysis: through the calculation of profit margin and internal rate of return (IRR) to analyzed and compared the economic benefits;(4) Methods of the equity analysis:Lorenz curve, Gini coefficient, the density index.Results:(1) Survey covered 397 hospitals and 564 large medical equipments typeâ…¡, including 397 CT,72 MRI,55 DSA,15 SPECT and 25 LA;(2) Allocation levels is increasing in recent years, but we can find out the poor equipment configuration in our province through the equity analysis;(3) Part of large medical equipments in our province have a longer useful life, and the insufficient or excess use are exit at the same time; (4)Manning lever is unreasonable;(5) CT and LA have better economic benefits than other equipments, and the benefits of equipments has related to the economic lever of the areas; (6) Give 30 indexes to collect large medical equipment information for the future research.Conclusions:Equipment allocation lever is still low and has the poor configuration; Illegal allocation is serious in our province:equipments works without the certificates and the employees are non-qualification in some hospital; Unreasonable utilization should be improved in our province. Bsides, hospitals put large of money on the equipments, especially on the part of maintain. But the economic benefit of MRI,DSA,SPECT and the equipments in the poor area are worse than other equipments.The health administration department should reinforce the ratified management and scientific allocation and enlarge the input of financing and technology support. In addition, collection of information on equipment should be strengthened, and put more indexes in the regular statistical work, to achieve real-time monitoring of equipment.
