Preliminary Study On Pharmacodynamics Of The Folkremedy Of Digugao

Objective:Preliminary research on the folk remedy "Digugao" is done through textual research on prescription drugs and pharmacodynamics study, in order to prove a scientific basis on study of the recipe preparation process and clinical application.Methods:Using the methods of philology and prescription study to explain and do literature research; using the mouse ear swelling test and writhing test to investigate anti-inflammatory analgesic effect of drugs in vivo; with hyaluronidase (HAase) to investigate anti-inflammatory drugs effect in vitro; using the remedy test of model of mouse deepâ…¡degree scald, the effective group and the active fractions in the prescription have been chosen; the hydroxyproline content of the wound skin responded by different extracts also have been determinated by test kit; and with HE biopsy method to detect microscopical comparation of wound skin.Results:The prescription explaination and research show that its compatibility is reasonable, in addition to traditional effect, there are treatments of sore, carbuncle swollen and burn in the historical records. The results show the recovery of Digugao on wound treatment significantly, particularly the remedy area and healing time for early stage of skin wound can be both reduced; each extraction of the prescription drug Cortex Lycii showed a certain degree of anti-inflammatory analgesic effects, especially the water extraction shows the best; ethanol extraction increased wound hydroxyproline content significantly superior to other extracts on the 10th day; Pathological examination of the extracts of mouse skin shows that histopathological changes of deepâ…¡degree burn can be improved, and the ethanol extracts show the best. Conclusion:The prescription in the treatment of burns caused by hot steam has a significant effect; Cortex Lycii in the prescription is the effective component; Afterwards the ethanol extraction of Cortex Lycii is selected premary for the effective parts, other parts also have good performance in the anti-inflammatory and other experiments. This test provides a scientific basis to Digugao development and a application method of preparation process designation.
