Medication Principles Study On Traditional Chinese Medicine Treating Cancer Pain Based On Periodical Literature

Objective:To collect literature on traditional chinese medicine(TCM) treating cancer pain,which were published on domestic medical journal in recent years.To sumamarize the medication principles of TCM for cancer pain, and to provide the future clinical practice and scientific research with clear instructions on specific subjects and drug prescriptions. Methods:The databases of CBM, CNKI, VIP, WanFang were searched electronically. Relevant journals, academic conference proceedings and the references lists of identified documents were also searched by hand.The prescription of included studies were gathered,and then were statistically analyzed from efficacy,frequency,four nature,five flavours,meridian distibution and toxicity.Results:Finaly,172 compound prescriptions were analyzed.Among them,64 prescriptions were internal use including 166 drugs,706 frequencies; and 108 prescriptions were external use including 165 drugs,989 frequencies. Eighteen kinds of herb were used in internal prescriptions,the seven drugs of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,reinforce asthenia,clearing heat,regulating qi,calm the liver to stop wind,dispelling wind and wet,dissipate phlegm occupied 81.44%;the warm,cold and neutral of four nature,and the bitter, pungent,and sweet of five flavours were used mostly;the liver,spleen,heart of meridian distribution were used frequently. Eighteen kinds of herb were used in external prescriptions,the seven drugs of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,fragrance running,clearing heat,dispelling wind and wet,elimating phlegm,detoxication and anthelminthic,and calm the liver to stop wind, were 78.94%; the warm,cold and neutral of four nature,and the pungent,bitter,and sweet of five flavours were used mostly;the liver,spleen,heart of meridian distribution were used frequently.The poisonous herb was 19.55% in internal use,and in external use was 48.84%.Conclusion:The treatment of TCM for cancer pain was mainly adhere to the theory "To be not nourished is pain",and the principle "To be blocked up is to be pain".The herbs of promoting blood flow,tonification,clearing heat,dispelling cold,eliminating phlegm,regulating qi,and removing stagnation were used frequently.The drugs were mainly warm,cold and neutral in property;sweet,pungent and bitter in flavours;giving first place to liver,spleen and heart.The major methods of relieving pain were activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,reinforce asthenia and tonification, dispelling wet and clearing cold,eliminating phlegm and removing stasis, and regulating qi and scattering gloomy.The main medications were three kinds of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,invigorating qi and nourishing blood, and dispelling wind and wet and eliminating phlegm and removing stasis.A great number of compatible herbs were used to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, animal drugs were taken seriously,and the pungent and toxicity medicines were of frequent occurrence.
