Purpose: This one-week-long study focuses on the food nutrition conditions of the teenager cyclists in sports schools on land in Dalian, aimed at knowing the teenager athletes'knowledge about food nutrition in the current situation and exploring the influences of food nutrition on the teenager athletes, in order to educate the teenager cyclists in Dalian about food nutrition, to improve the athletes'bad eating habits, and to enhance the quality of training.Method: The objects of this study, 20 men and 20 women, are chosen from the cyclists in sports schools on land in Dalian. Self-designed nutrition surveys are used to examine the food nutrition conditions of them. Additionally, a-week-long 24 hours nutrition recalling surveys are also used to test the teenager cyclists'conditions of intake of food nutrition, the detailed data of which are input into the software,"Athletes and the Public Nutritional Analysis and Management System"developed by The Institute of Sports Nutrition attached to The National Sport General Administration of Sports Medicine Institute, and processed and analyzed by data software spss11.5 and Excel.Conclusion:1.The teenager cyclists,with a low level of nutritional awareness, poor conditions of breakfast and irrational dietary patterns,lack knowledge about nutrition and are particular about food. However, the athletes' attitude toward nutrition cognitive is positive.2. The intake of energy and some nutrients of the athletes are seriously inadequate, the volume of which cannot meet the deed of the teenager cyclists'training needs, with less carbohydrate and more fat and protein. The intakes of some of them are reasonable, but the lack of Fe causes anemia of the athletes. The intake of animal and plant foods are not balanced, so the supply liquid before, after and during the training are very poor, with little knowledge about when and how to supply.3. Athletes' food patterns are irrational, with a higher average of daily intake of single cereals, especially rice. The intake of vegetables, fruits, milk, dairy products, beans, aquatic products and meat is not enough, which leads to the lack of various nutrients.Suggestions: Strengthen the nutrition education of the athletes, managers and cooks; improve the athletes' eating behaviors; adjust the athletes' nutrition patterns to ensure the intake of nutrients the athletes need and to improve dietary patterns reasonably. The teenager cyclists should focus on the intake of lean meat, animal liver, fish and grains to improve the utilization of Fe, zinc and other trace elements in the body and to avoid the occurrence of sports anemia. Supply reasonably before, after and during high-intensity training, strictly control the nutrition conditions of the athletes, test the athletes' nutrition conditions regularly, find and correct problems in time.
